GRCA Tree Sale

A few weeks back, we took advantage of the annual GRCA tree sale. The Grand River Conservation Authority "manages the water and other natural resources along the Grand River". As part of this, they are a big part of forestry and tree planting activities including the supply of trees.

At the end of their season for supplying trees, they have an annual tree sale at their main site in Cambridge. This is a very popular event. It opens at 8am, but folks tend to line up starting around 6am. This year, I believe the first car in line was from Quebec and was there as of 2:30am.

We bought quite a few trees, from dozens of seedlings to 3 nice large oak trees. I believe we bought 56 trees in total.
